Cultural/Educational Programming for Children and Adults
With shrinking funds for arts education in both public and private schools, the Seminole Theatre will work with the Dade and Monroe County School Boards, as well as independent schools, to enhance the cultural education of students. Theatrical productions, opera, dance recitals, and concerts - presented by local or touring professional arts organizations - will be offered for two or three weeks several times during the school year during school hours. The Seminole Theatre will provide educational guides in advance of students attending a production to give them an introduction to the work they will see performed on stage. During after school hours once- or twice-a-week and on weekends, the Seminole Theatre will offer childrens classes in acting, music, and dance. A similar series of classes, plus set design and construction and costume design and construction, will be offered for adults. |

Movie House
On Sunday afternoons, and on Sunday and Monday evenings, the Seminole Theatre will serve as a classic movie house. Educational films, international and foreign language cinema, art and genre film, and motion pictures on the environment and the Everglades are potential selections. |
